GUNDOGAN MAINTAINS SCORING FORM AGAINST ARMENIA

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan maintained his good form in front of goal with a brace for Germany during the 4-1 win over hosts Armenia in their final Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Group J. He was able to take his tally to three goals in two matches for Germany during this international break.

The Manchester City started the floodgate of goals for Germany in the first of their final two World Cup qualifiers this month which ended in a 9-0 win over Lichtenstein who finished the game with ten men. The lowly country had Jens Hofer sent off as early as the seventh minute for a dangerous foul on Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka and Gundogan was able to tuck away the spot kick awarded as a result of the challenge.

CITY BACK TO VICTORY WAYS

Holders Manchester City are back on the victory route in the Premier League after the routine win over Burnley at the weekend. The Citizens had played out a 2-2 draw at the home of fellow Premier League title rivals Liverpool in their last league outing before the Burnley game at the weekend.


Manchester City came from behind on two occasions to earn a point via the 2-2 draw with hosts Liverpool just before the international break this month. FERNANDES VS DE BRUYNE: WHO WILL HAVE A BETTER SEASON?

The English Premier League season has ready started to dish out a lot of excitement through matches and there have been a lot of juicy fixtures already. There have been a lot of goals scored so far and there’s certainly more to come as we approach just the fourth gameweek this weekend. There are several big matches between the big boys in the league this season and one of them is the Manchester derby fixture between bitter rivals Manchester United and Manchester City. Both clubs clashed last season in the league and even though United had a better Head-to-Head record than their neighbors, the league title ended up at the blue half of Manchester at the end of the season.


There are a lot of key player battles that go down when these two clubs meet and one of those battles is the one between Portuguese international star Bruno Fernandes, who plays for Manchester United, and Belgian star Kevin de Bruyne, who plays for the other side. Fernandes has been on fire since signing for United and was outstanding for the Red Devils last season as well. GREALISH CLOSING IN ON £100M TRANSFER

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is closing in on a big transfer to Premier League champions. The Daily Mail revealed that the Villa skipper is on course to join Manchester City in a deal worth £100m. It was disclosed that the transfer could be confirmed as early as this weekend.

England international Grealish would be the recipient of the most expensive transfer in British football if he completes his transfer to the Etihad Stadium as expected.

TOWNSEND: CITY WILL BE UNSTOPPABLE IF THEY SIGN THIS DUO

Manchester City are steadily on their way to becoming an unstoppable side if they complete the signings of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, according to Andros Townsend. Former Tottenham player Townsend has warned the rest of the English Premier League teams, especially the rest of the big boys of the league, that if they do not spend enough funds this summer to sign big players, they could well watch City lift the Premier League title again next season.

Manchester City were, some days ago, said to be ready to splash £100 million on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as they continue to search for a new striker after letting go of Sergio Agüero at the end of last season. Kane is highly interested in leaving the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and wants to move on to a club where he will have a higher chance of winning trophies as from next season and a move to the Etihad stadium has been seen as a huge possibility.

CITY JOIN RACE FOR SLAVIA PRAGUE STRIKER SIMA

Premier League champions Manchester City look to be already preparing for next season and are reportedly working on creating a list of a set of players they want to sign in the summer. City are by far the most complete team in the Premier League and have already assembled both the first and second-team set-ups capable of competing for major titles but they seem to not be satisfied and want to make more reinforcements.

CUP FINAL: CITY AND SPURS GO HEAD-TO-HEAD

It is expected to be a worthy pitch battle when Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur take to the field and battle it all out for Cup glory on Saturday. For Pep Guardiola, it is going to be another opportunity to add to his trophy cabinets since taking up the managerial role at the Etihad stadium. And for Tottenham in general, it will be a chance for them to finally get their hands on a title in over a decade.

HARRY KANE ADVISED TO MOVE TO CITY OR UNITED THIS SUMMER

Tottenham star striker Harry Kane has been advised to leave the London club and seal a switch to a bigger Premier League club if he has any intention of winning silverware before he finishes his career or move past his best years. Kane has been a blessing to the Spurs team since making his debut for the club and has continued to score goals for the club. His brilliant work ethic is very impressive and has seen him score tons of goals in the last seasons but according to Rio Ferdinand, those goals will mean nothing if he fails to win trophies in his career.

The former Manchester United Defender has now urged the E gland international striker to leave Tottenham where he has little or no chances of winning any trophy and move to either Manchester United or Manchester City to boost his chances of getting his hands on silverware soon.

CITY TARGET WIN FOR SPURS GAME

Manchester City are the team to beat in the race for the Premier League title following their impressive winning run in all competitions ahead of the visit of Tottenham Hotspur in the league this weekend.Manchester City have won their last 15 games in all competitions, including the last 11 games in the Premier League and they would be targeting another win against a Spurs side that handed Manchester City the second of their two defeats in all competitions this term. The two defeats came in the league against Leicester City and Spurs.
